According to Deadline: Jay Baruchel has joined Robert Pattinson in the David Cronenberg-directed Cosmopolis. Pattinson plays a financial wiz kid who puts his life in danger by betting his entire fortune against the yen on a tumultous day in the adaptation of the Don DeLillo novel. Baruchel plays the shy guy who founded the company, and who acts as the trader's conscience. Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Mathieu Amalric and Sarah Gadon also star. Baruchel just wrapped Goon, which he co-wrote with Evan Goldberg, and starred in and produced. He's repped by CAA and Thruline.

DeadlineNY: Sensing a possible opening with Hugh Jackman because The Wolverine lost its director and a plan to shoot in Japan turned precarious, Universal Pictures has offered Jackman the huntsman role in Snow White and the Huntsman. The Rupert Sanders-directed film has Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron ready to star. Also, I've heard Universal is in talks with Hossein Amini to come aboard and do some script work on a project slated to begin production mid-September. Whether Jackman accepts is unclear. Jackman would obviously have to be paid a premium to pump up the star power of a film that will reach theaters after its rival, Relativity Media's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.

A PG origin and re-imagining tale of "Snow White" from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Tonally in the vein of "Alice In Wonderland". Snow White(Stewart), is an incredible beautiful young woman with raven hair, fair skin, and ruby red lips. Snow White's beauty is ultimately its own curse because, when she becomes the fairest in the land, she becomes a threat to her step-mother Ravenna (Theron). Snow White loves Prince Charmant, a boy of the same age who she was separated from as a teen. Snow White has been forced to live under the hard rules of Ravenna where her only friends were the animals that would come to see her. Snow White's life is turned upside down when Ravenna discovers that Snow White is about to become the fairest. She's driven from the castle and Eric is sent to kill her. Eric is a huntsman who is haunted by the death of his wife, Sara. He was deeply in love and cannot silence the pain caused by her loss. He drinks heavily and spends his days hunting for the White Wolf that killed Sara. He is purely mercenary, taking the money Ravenna offers to bring the most beautiful maidens in the land to the castle. However, when Eric discovers that the White Wolf works for Ravenna, he escapes with Snow White to the Dark Forest and begins preparing to get his revenge. (Offer out to Hugh Jackman for Eric, The Huntsman. / Release date December 21, 2012.)

While Twi-hards can't get enough of Pattinson – or his waxen face – the British star who's played vampire Edward Cullen since 2008 is done with the look of the undead. "I'm so sick of my own pallid, gray complexion," he's said. "Having that makeup put on every single day, as soon as you get it taken off, it's like, 'Oh, you do look normal. You look healthy now.'" - People

When you think Valley girl the Twilight star, who plays tortured loner Bella Swan, doesn't exactly come to mind. And you won't catch this California native slaving over the latest fashion and beauty trends. "I think it's ridiculous that you need to look a certain way to be conventionally pretty," she declares. - People
